Joanna Yang is an incoming freshman at UPenn Wharton. Statistics has long been her passion, and she has every intention of making it her concentration as well. She is an aluma of Wharton’s famous “Moneyball Academy,” and boasts a knowlege of advanced statistics that includes fluency in R.
Within the field of statistics, Joanna focuses predominantly on biostatistics and sports analytics, both of which she has studied and written research papers for. One of her papers, a biostatistics paper on obesity, is nearing publication in the Obesity Journal.
Outside of statistics, Joanna enjoyed debating and playing volleyball throughout her high school career, and currently partakes in the occasional attempt at baking and sewing.
